Create Vertical Menu

Menu
We have learned how to create horizontal menu before. Now we will try to make a vertical menu. We will make a vertical menu like the image. Ok let's do it

1. Login to blogger then choose "Layout-->Edit HTML"
2. Put the script below before this code ]]> or put it in CSS code area.

.glossymenu, .glossymenu li ul{
list-style-type: none;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
width: 185px; /*WIDTH OF MAIN MENU ITEMS*/
border: 1px solid black;
}
.glossymenu li{
position: relative;
}
.glossymenu li a{
background: white url('http://blog.superinhost.com/vertical/blue1.gif') repeat-x bottom left;
font: bold 12px Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color: white;
display: block;
width: auto;
padding: 5px 0;
padding-left: 10px;
text-decoration: none;
}
.glossymenu li ul{
position: absolute;
width: 190px;
left: 0;
top: 0;
display: none;
}
.glossymenu li ul li{
float: left;
}
.glossymenu li ul a{
width: 180px;
}
.glossymenu li a:visited, .glossymenu li a:active{
color: white;
}
.glossymenu li a:hover{
background-image: url('http://blog.superinhost.com/vertical/blue2.gif');
}

* html .glossymenu li { float: left; height: 1%; }
* html .glossymenu li a { height: 1%; }

You can change the menu color, look at the red text (blue1.gif and blue2.gif). Change it with some color menu below. For example, if you want to choose red color, then the code would be like this :
.glossymenu li a{
background: white url('http://blog.superinhost.com/vertical/red.gif') repeat-x bottom left;

dan
.glossymenu li a:hover{
background-image: url('http://blog.superinhost.com/vertical/red.gif');

Vertical Menu Color :

blue1.gif
blue2.gif

green1.gif
green2.gif

red1.gif
red2.gif

pink1.gif
pink2.gif

black1.gif
black2.gif

3. Save your template.

Benefits of Drinking Water & How much water to drink to lose weights?

                  Drinking a healthy amount of water is vital to your health. You can never imagine just by changing this simple step, you gain tremendous health benefits, and sometimes you can even throw away your migraine medicine or pain killer.

                  Before you can appreciate the benefits of water to your health, let’s review the role of water in human body. The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on body size. A rule of thumb, 2/3 of body is consists of water, and it is the main component of human body. Did you know that your tissues and organs are mainly made up of water? Here is the %:

          •Muscle consists of 75% water
          •Brain consists of 90% of water
          •Bone consists of 22% of water
          •Blood consists of 83% water

      The functions of water in human body are vital. The water:

              •Transpsort nutrients and oxygen into cells
              •Moisturizes the air in lungs
              •Helps with metabolism
              •Protect our vital organ
              •Helps our organs to absorb nutrients better
              •Regulates body temperature
              •Detoxifies
              •Protect and moisturizes our joints

                   Every cell in your body needs water from head to toe. That is why it is so important to drink enough fluid. Take for example, brain consists of 90% of water, if you do not supply enough water to your body, your brain cannot function well, and you will get headache or migraine. Hence, next time, if you feel fatigue and headache, it may be the sign of dehydration.

How much water to drink to lose weights?

Every diet and fitness plan tells us that we need to drink plenty of pure water... but exactly how much water to lose weight? That is the question.

Your body needs more water when you exercise. And you want to drink water with every meal, to help you feel full and to help your weightloss program.

When you feel hungry it is often actually thirst. Your body needs plain old water, not soda, not coffee, not high fructose corn syrup. A glass of water can help stop hunger cravings.

So how much water to lose weight? The age-old standard about water is to drink eight 8-oz glasses a day.

However, no one ever asks how much your body weighs. Someone who weighs 150 and sits at a desk all day may need less water than someone who weighs 250 and does physical labor outdoors in warm weather.

The bottom line is, very few people drink near enough water. Most people are dehydrated. So to start out, drink a full glass with each meal. This way you will make sure you are drinking at least three glasses a day. Make this a habit.

You'll find that you eat less at each meal and are not as hungry later. Remember, many hunger pangs are actually thirst pangs. You will enjoy improved digestion. Some people even find that they sleep better at night.

More about how much water to lose weight:

Another answer to the question of how much water to lose weight is that you want to have a glass before bed at night and a glass upon awakening in the morning.

For your morning glass of water, don't drink ice cold water on an empty stomach, or your tummy will protest. Just "tepid" or room temperature water is fine.

You will find yourself visiting the restroom more often while your body gets used to all of this water. After a while your system will adjust and you won't go so often.

Now you are up to five glasses a day. Way to go. This will seem like a lot if you have not been drinking much water.

How much water to lose weight -- now let's add three more glasses.

If you are exercising you will want to sip a glass of water afterwards. Try to get in some kind of exercise every day. Even just going for a walk can do wonders to help you lose weight.

Now you can add an extra glass of water at lunch and have two glasses of water with your meal instead of one. Recently some of us took our kids to McDonalds for lunch. The grown ups each ordered the chicken breast sandwich. They are made on a whole wheat bun with lettuce and tomato. It's a very healthy sandwich. Thank you McDonalds for making this menu item. Along with those sandwiches we each asked for a glass of water and then we all had a refill.

If you eat a healthy sandwich like that slowly, and drink two glasses of water while you eat, it really fills you up and satisfies your hunger. Try drinking one half to one full glass of your water before the food is eaten. That really slows down your eating.

The question of how much water to lose weight has a lot to do with drinking it while you eat your meals.

Another good place to get a healthy sandwich is Subway. The turkey sandwich is an especially healthy choice, with only 6 grams of fat. Drink two glasses of water with it and you are doing great.

So far so good on our quest of how much water to lose weight. We said eight glasses and we are up to seven so far. The other glass of water might not be needed if you are of average height. Eight is not a magic number carved in stone.

If you do want to add another glass of water, here are some ideas. You can sip water all day at work. You can bring along bottled water in your car. You can have an after work drink of sparkling water with a twist of lemon or lime. You can use water to mix up your daily protein smoothly shake. You can mix a packet of Emergen-C vitamin C drink with a glass of water in the afternoon instead of a coffee break.

Foods can supply added water also. You can have a bowl of chicken soup with lots of clear broth. You get a lot of water in salads, vegetables, and fruits such as bananas, oranges, melons, etc.

One thing you don't want to do is drink soda pop and think it is helping because, hey it's made out of water isn't it? Sorry but soda can actually dehydrate you. That is not what we want. The question is how much water to lose weight, not how much soda to lose weight.

Give up sodas and you won't be alone. People are drinking less soda and more water. The soda makers are buying bottled water packaging plants to stay on top of the trend. An industry article told about how worried they are about declining sales.

If you have the money in your budget for a water filter it is a wise investment. The ones that fit right on your kitchen faucet tap are fine. That way you can drink water right out of the tap. It is room temperature and it will be free of chlorine and other scary stuff that will be filtered out.

Every time you are at home and you are wondering about how much water to lose weight, you can just grab a glass of water from the tap. Put a note on the refrigerator to remind you to drink some water.

These filters pay for themselves in no time because you buy less bottled water and eat less food. You can just get some water bottles and refill them over and over.

To sum up, just how much water to lose weight is enough? Try for six or eight glasses a day. If that is difficult for you, try for three. It is a good start. Then work your way up to more.

Get in the water habit and your weight loss program will work so much better it will be amazing. Substitute water for soda and for sweetened bottled drinks. If you have hit a plateau on your diet, this added water could be the missing key to weight loss success.

Drink purified water

Our bodies are 70% water and we need to drink plenty of clean, pure water to be healthy and to lose weight.

The problem is, tap water may contain chlorine, lead, parasites and other common problems.

Bottled water costs too much compared to water from your own water filter. There is a filtration system for every need. Enjoy safe drinking water that is healthy and economical.

Acing that Job Interview

After leaving university graduates are normally on edge waiting for that faithful call to invite them to an interview. I was interviewed for a job recently and it went well. I was further invited for a second interview, which I was thrilled about.
But, there are certain tips that any interviewee can use to help them ace their interviews. Below I will mention some tips that individuals may use to be successful.
Research
Companies want to know that you know the relevant information about the company. This shows your interest and also proves the fact that you did prior preparations. In the interview I was not asked about specific details as to what areas the company operated in but with my answers to different questions I highlighted the different areas the company focused on and this will prove you clearly know the company’s operations.
Be Relaxed
Being nervous in an interview is most times inevitable. However, practice mock interviews with friends or in mirror to get you acquainted with responding to the interview questions. We are in 2009 and information is at your fingertips. Check videos on tips on answering interview questions at www.youtube.com and www.google.com. It is important to add your own dynamic to the answers to make them your own but it helps for interviewees to have an idea of how to respond to a question. Ensure you communicate well, this will show you are able to bring across your points clearly.
For example: When the interviewer says ‘tell me about yourself’, it is not the time to mention what are your likes and dislikes.
Be inspiring
Job interviews can be dreadful so ensure the panel is interested in you. You can achieve this by being charismatic, cheerful, emotive and inspiring. Therefore, show interest in the position and show them that ‘wow-factor’. If you studied Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, Insurance this should not be difficult.
Punctuality
There is no given rule on how many minutes you should arrive before an interview. I would advise applicants to arrive at the establishment at least 20 minutes before your interview is slated to begin. Punctuality shows your employer great business skill and your respect for time.
Dress Code
Depending on the job you are applying for will determine in some way how formal you will be dressed. For middle to upper management a suit in my view is a must. For entry level employment your attire (shirt, tie, pants – for men) will be accepted. Dressing professionally for any interview is critical, first impressions typically last and you will want to introduce your best image to the panel.
Non Verbal Communication
When at the business location please note that you are judged the moment you step in. Please show respect to the receptionist, and any other employee you encounter. When I arrived at the business place I greeted the receptionist even other interviewees in the lobby area. You never know who is sitting where and who is watching. More than ever companies are equipped with CCTV cameras so be very careful. In the interview remain focused, keep eye-contact and have an interest in what you are doing.
An interview is the closest you will ever get to the actual job. You will have one moment to show the panel interviewing you that employing you will make their company so much better affecting its bottom line – profits. I hope the tips offered above will make you more prepared. I followed those tips and I was granted a second interview.
Now it is on to the second!

A List of Interview Questions

If you wish to prepare yourself in advance for the big job interview coming up, why not familiarize yourself with some typical questions used in job interviews?
There are usually two types of questions asked in job interviews. The first set of questions we'll be discussing generally requires objective answers relating to your qualifications and work experience, as well as those that require you to expound on your personality and attitude.
DESCRIBE YOURSELF
It's a very rare occasion that you meet an individual who has experienced going to numerous job interviews and has never been asked to describe themselves. This question is usually asked at the start of the interview and your answer is usually the sole basis for the first impression your interviewer will have of you.
For that very reason, it's important to keep your answer of moderate length - not too short, but not too long either. Just give them a sneak peek of who you are.
EXPLAIN WHY YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE JOB
Naturally, this is the right time to state all the positive things about you that would make you the ideal candidate for the job. Remember not to go overboard however, as that would turn your prospective employer off rather than convince them to hire you.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE COMPANY AND WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR US?
The answers the interviewer would receive in response to this question will help them recognize which applicants are simply interested in the perquisites of the job (high pay, travel incentives, and so forth) and which ones sincerely desire to work for their company.
WHY DID YOU LEAVE YOUR OLD JOB?
While it's absolutely necessary that you do not lie about anything related to your previous employment; it's better, however, not to draw too much attention to anything which may make you look like an undesirable candidate for the job. If you're suddenly confronted with an unpleasant truth - showing that the interviewer has done a thorough research on your work background - just try to be as candid as you can whenever you reply to your interviewer's questions.
The second types of questions are mainly situational and let the interviewer know how you'd normally react under different circumstances. It lets the company know, for instance, how good you are at managing people, handling pressure, and interacting with clients.
DESCRIBE YOUR COPING TECHNIQUES WHEN ASKED TO DEAL WITH HIGHLY STRESSFUL SITUATIONS
The best way to answer this question is offering a specific situation where you were indeed able to cope successfully in spite of a stressful atmosphere. Explain about the factors that contributed to such an atmosphere then move on to the coping techniques you employed to keep your head clear and focused.
ARE YOU GOAL-ORIENTED?
Naturally, your answer must be YES. And to make your answer thorough and compelling, look back to your past once more and specify the most difficult goal that you were able to achieve and what you did to make that possible.
HOW DO YOU TYPICALLY DEAL WITH CONFLICTS?
People have different ways of dealing with conflicts. Whatever your answer is, it's imperative that you can show yet another past situation where your method was able to successfully diffuse tension and resolve differences.
GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF A SITUATION WHEN YOU FAILED TO ATTAIN YOUR OBJECTIVE
No matter what experience you have in this area, it's imperative that you stress how you got back on your feet and refused to let failure hamper you from trying again!
GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF A TIME YOU TOOK INITIATIVE AND ITS OUTCOME
This is a very important question especially if you're applying for a position of authority such as one at the managerial or executive level. Your answer must clearly emphasize your competency in leading.
This list offers some of the basic types of interview questions you will encounter. Be certain to prepare yourself, and don't go into an interview cold.

Telephone Interview Preparation

                  1. Get a ring tone that sounds professional or remove the ring tone.
A lot of my colleagues tell me how the ring tone of the job applicant sets the tone of the interview. sometimes the ring tone is so, for the want of a better word, outlandish, you just know what kind of a person the applicant will turn out to be.

                  2. If this is what they feel, change your ring tone while you are searching for a job or have applied to a position.
Answer all calls with a greeting you never know when a prospective employer is calling. it doesn't need to be a hotel greeting, just a nice good morning or afternoon extra.

                  3. If you are on duty, request another time for the interview. If you are busy say so, if you are sleepy, offer to call back. What I am trying to say is, don't take the call, if you are not going to be able to give a 100% of your attention to it.

                   4. Remember who & for what you applied for. Nothing spoils the interview when the applicant cant even remember when they applied for a job position. It shows utter lack of control. If you can remember all your applications either write them down or apply less.

                   5. Ask the name of the person calling. its amazing, how people give interviews, say goodbye and still never ask the name of the caller. ask the name & use it atleast thrice in the interview.

                   6. Give concise answers and be as specific & verbal as you can. She cant see you and your hand gestures or your facial expressions, so your voice will have to convey enthusiasm and knowledge.

                   7. Please do not take the call at the Front Desk or the place of work. it is very unprofessional. neither should you put the interviewer on hold. you wouldn't do that in a face-to-face interview would you? then why do it over the phone.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance that manufacturers may use to brand certified products that belong to a class of wireless local area network (WLAN) devices based on the IEEE 802.11 standards, which is by far the most widespread WLAN class today. Because of the close relationship with its underlying standard, the term Wi-Fi is often used as a synonym for IEEE 802.11 technology.
The Wi-Fi Alliance, a global association of companies, promotes WLAN technology and certifies products if they conform to certain standards of interoperability. Not every IEEE 802.11-compliant device is submitted for certification to the Wi-Fi Alliance, sometimes because of costs associated with the certification process. The lack of the Wi-Fi logo does not necessarily imply a device is incompatible with Wi-Fi devices.
As of 2010[update], IEEE 802.11 devices are installed in many personal computers, video game consoles, smartphones, printers, and other peripherals, and virtually all laptop or palm-sized computers.
In the US, the FCC first made unlicensed spread spectrum available in rules adopted on May 9, 1985.
Wi-Fi technology has its origins in a 1985 ruling by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission that released several bands of the radio spectrum for unlicensed use. In 1991 NCR Corporation/AT&T (later Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems) invented the precursor to 802.11 / Wi-Fi in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. The inventors initially intended to use the technology for cashier systems; the first wireless products were brought on the market under the name WaveLAN with raw data rates of 1 Mbit/s and 2 Mbit/s. Vic Hayes, who held the chair of IEEE 802.11 for 10 years and has been called the "father of Wi-Fi" was involved in designing the initial 802.11b and 802.11a standards within the IEEE.
In April 2009, 14 tech companies including Intel, Microsoft, HP, Dell, agreed to pay CSIRO $250 million for their Wi-Fi patent infringements.
